Apeiro Design (formerly Auerbach Pollock Friedlander) provided full scope theatre and audio-video consulting from conceptual design to commissioning on both performance spaces; as well as dressing rooms, scene shop and laundry. The firm’s scope also included plans for a future 200-seat amphitheatre.

In order to allow ease of use by students, while providing a high level of sophistication for professional touring companies, the firm designed a computer-controlled theatrical lighting dimming system and fixture package; projection, sound, and backstage communication systems; and stage extension platforms, theatrical seating, and a customized orchestra shell. Counterweight rigging and stage draperies complete the package, along with infrastructure provided to allow for television broadcasts in the main hall.

Apeiro Design designed the audience chamber seating of the main space for optimal sightlines, while maintaining an intimate feel to the room for the audience. Designed and equipped for the future installation of a variable acoustics system, this space provides a flexibility that enhances a variety of performance types, including dance, orchestra, chorus, lecture, popular entertainment, drama and musicals.
