The new development maximizes sweeping views of the Bay.

The architecture of the three blocks was divided between Mithun | Solomon and Paulett Taggart Architects. Collaborating closely with the two design offices, Apeiro Design applied a cohesive lighting approach between buildings and a unified lighting concept throughout the streets creating a strong sense of neighborhood.

The lighting of Promontory Park reinforced the new and secured the public open space by using warm color temperatures and directional fixtures to reduce glare, creating a comfortable environment for neighbors to converse and families to meet. Special attention was paid to creating a safe street-scape which resulted in a City variance in City standard light level. A lower, but more uniform light level creates a comfortable nighttime environment supporting the sense of community after dark.

Apeiro Design completed phase two and is currently designing the lighting for phase three for the mixed-use, mixed income neighborhood.
