The Center encompasses single and triple-height exhibit spaces, STEM learning labs with live animal displays, collaborative learning spaces, multipurpose rooms for larger gatherings, an event space and exterior roof top garden.

Special lighting elements includes a vertically mounted track lighting system architecturally integrated into the triple height atrium preserving the transparency of the architecture and reserving the ceiling for exhibitry; illuminated handrails for the three-story interconnecting stair; custom-detailed concealed guardrail lighting for the roof top garden providing an unobtrusive lit environment insuring stunning views of the Bay.

The lighting design harmoniously integrates with the environment, while fully supporting the various uses of the space and complementing the minimalist architecture.
