The architectural lighting seamlessly integrates with the ample daylight throughout the building. Lighting is a central pivot point for the inversion of the building from its daylight-flooded interior to a quieter, softer evening environment, carefully illuminating the wood paneling and natural stone. The architect’s biophilic design strengthens connections between interior spaces, courtyards, and the adjacent Dell, a wildlife habitat, while thoughtfully controlled site lighting extends the warmth of the interior outdoors without compromising the natural environment.

Apeiro Design’s audiovisual systems support a wide range of functions throughout the facility, including classroom presentations, video conferencing, performances, meetings, banquets and community events. Within the Convergence Hall, integrated systems provide projection, video capture, sound reinforcement, assistive listening, and centralized AV control, with equipment discreetly incorporated into the architecture. The Conservatory Studio features immersive lighting and a 20-channel spatial audio system, enabling users to create 3D soundscapes for contemplative experiences, artistic exploration, and research.
