Davison High School - Performing Arts Center

The Davison Performing Arts Center was designed to elevate the school’s music and theatre programs while providing a modern home for DTV, Davison’s public education broadcast channel.

As the centerpiece for the school’s choir, band, orchestra and drama departments, the facility also serves the broader community as a venue for music festivals and cultural events.

Apeiro Design provided comprehensive theatrical and audio-visual consulting for the 1,000-seat auditorium and its support spaces. Designed with a balcony to foster intimacy, the auditorium is equipped with professional-grade systems—including a counterweight rigging system, stage draperies, lighting and orchestra shell ceilings—offering students a flexible and dynamic learning environment.

Broadcast Studio

Description

DTV, a Public Education Channel programed by Davison Community School. The expanded studio, adjacent classroom, and video editing rooms allow for on and off the air enhancements of the student created programming. Apeiro Design provided broadcast lighting, audio, video, and rigging system design to realize this state-of-the-art studio.

Broadcast Control Suite

Description

The hub of DTV is the state-of-the-art broadcast control suite which connects to the Davison stadium, gym and auditorium. Apeiro provided room layout and system design to allow student and professional operational control of cameras, audio mixing, graphics, replay, teleprompter, synchronization and signal routing from a central location.

Dressing Room

Description

Group makeup and adjacent dressing rooms where included to support performances in the new auditorium. Apeiro Design provide room layout and design criteria for the makeup counters, mirrors, lighting and control.

Auditorium

Description

Adjacent to the auditorium are a series of new vocal music and instrumental music rooms along with practice rooms. Apeiro provided audio and video system design to realize the full potential of these rooms, allowing for recording and immediate playback of student musicians, as well as, video projection and sound reinforcement in each room.
