The auditorium is located on the lower level of the new building and provides assembly and screening space for educational programs and media-driven programming in support of Museum offerings and the surrounding cultural complex. Working withing the unique architecture of the space, Apeiro Design (formerly Auerbach Pollock Friedlander) provided design of flexible seating configurations as well as production lighting, sound reinforcement, video and film projection systems.

The Frederic C. Hamilton Building – a 146,000-square foot addition nearly doubling the size of the original Gio Ponti-designed Denver Art Museum – is home to modern and contemporary art collections, a gift shop and a presentation auditorium. The exterior design, with its titanium-clad crystalline forms, mirrors the backdrop of the nearby Rocky Mountains. Throughout the addition’s interior design, the exterior character is expressed in bold strokes, featuring tipped walls, sloped floors and elements of the addition’s exterior shaping.
