Five custom “poplifts” can propel a performer high into the air or can be used to bring props and performers on stage in a more typical fashion. Additionally, three large stage lifts bring major scenic and acrobatic units from the trap room to the performance level. Dynamic acrobatic flying choreography is supported by a sophisticated automated track and trolley system and individual winches over the audience. The overhead acrobatic and scenic system, all stage lifts and machinery are controlled by an integrated automation control system with multiple control consoles in various locations. The system controls and monitors interdependent timing among complex moving elements providing repeatable, safe performances.

Video projections are a key element of the show. Apeiro Design’s audio video design team coordinated the integration of Cirque du Soleil’s comprehensive video system with audio and theatre systems allowing for projections on almost every wall surface enveloping the audience merging the stage and auditorium.
