Texas Christian University – Hill Hall, Walsh Hall & Gutierrez Dining Hall

TCU’s East Campus student complex adds 125,000 SF of housing, dining and social space with layered architectural lighting by Apeiro Design.

Square Feet

Oriented with almost true west and east double-height glazed facades, the building’s access to daylight as the primary light source for most of the operating hours creates a lively and cheerful interior. Electric lighting delivers higher intensities at the middle portion of the space to infill the tapering daylight volume and maintain the sense of brightness across the dining area. The two-story dining hall is daylit by clerestory windows and glows like a lantern by night, serving as the social and visual anchor of TCU’s new student neighborhood.
