The firm’s work included the development of Cirque du Soleil’s concept for the audience areas, the detailed development of the stage machinery, rigging and automation, theatrical lighting control and the audio-video systems.

The proscenium cruciform stage, one of the largest in North America, has rear and side stages that are the full height of the grid. As the production developed the provision for extensive flexibility was realized in an array of 17 stage lifts, performer lifts and “sloats” similar to those seen on opera house stages. Aerial acrobatics were facilitated by a track and trolley system with multiple high-speed performer winches traveling horizontally and vertically.

The performance sound system was designed to meet the creative demands of the presentation of the original musical score.

The production closed in February of 2012.
